The Questions

Do you shoot digital or film?

I am a digital shooter. I have an extensive collection of high-end Canon cameras and lenses that can handle any situation. Working with digital images allows me to provide a quick turn around time for my clients.

Do you re-use memory cards and how do you handle backups?

I NEVER re-use the memory cards on a wedding day. I have enough cards for 4 cameras to capture well over 7000 pictures before needing to worry about running out of space. Furthermore, I carry a portable backup unit with me all day. This allows me to create a backup of the CF card while I'm loading a brand new one in the camera. At the end of the night, I have 2 copies of every picture taken that day.

When I get back to the office, I make 3 additional copies (on 3 separate hard disks) of all the pictures before I start looking/working on them. Once I am done with a client's images and I have delivered the album and disk with the hi-res pictures, I make 3 additional copies of the final set. These last copies are done on 3 different disks then the ones from the initial import and are all stored offsite.

As you can tell, I treat your images and their backups VERY seriously.

What type of editing do you do to the pictures and how long does it take?

The entire image editing process takes between six and eight weeks. At a minimum, I will do color correction and enhancement, cropping, sharpening and contrast adjustments to ensure that what you get are the absolute sharpest and vibrant pictures possible. For the pictures that are destined to go into an album or for larger prints, I will spend extra time to make sure they are print ready at any dimensions.

Do you travel and how far?

There is no travel fees for any weddings in the Bay Area counties. For anything beyond this, I only ask that my travel costs are covered.

How should we proceed?

If after reviewing our wedding packages, you would like additional information or would like a one on one consultation, we can set a time to meet to go over your wedding plans. To book my services, I require a signed contract and a deposit. This ensures my availability for your wedding day.

Once this is done, we can schedule the hair and makeup trial and engagement session (if included in your chosen package) whenever it is convenient.

The Testimonials

We got our pictures with lightening speed after our session with Thai. He was truly a pleasure to work with. Our family and friends are amazed that he is just starting out, and have asked for multiple copies of the photos. DH is giving referrals left and right! What I like best about our pictures is that Thai got us. He captured who we are in his lens and we could look at the pictures and say....yup, that's us. He got the funny way we laugh, the way DH kisses me on the forehead, all of it. Thank you Thai for such heartwarming pictures and memories. Your truly have a gift.

Thai is an AWESOME photog!! Not only is his work beautiful and stunning, he's a great guy and easy to get along with. He makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera (even to those who are very camera shy! like us!!). Him and Giao (his wife) are the sweetest people and i can't rave about them enough! I'm very excited to have them both at our wedding!!

- Miwa

My fiance and I were blown away by the level of talent that showed in his photos and he made us feel comfortable and at ease in front of the camera. I showed friends and family the DVD of pictures he sent to us, and they all raved about how beautiful the pictures looked, and how he captured such natural moments and emotions. Both Giao (his wife) and Thai took very good care of us during our photo shoot.

This very talented husband and wife team was a pleasure to work with. From the beginning, Thai's easy going personality made us feel at ease and throughout our session we felt like we were with good friends; Giao took every care to make sure my makeup/hair was always 'camera' ready while Thai never tired of looking for great photo ops. Thai's positive energy and passion is sincere as his talent. My fiance and I feel extremely lucky that we got to work with both Thai and Giao. It didn't take much convincing for my fiance to agree that we're coming back for more ...perhaps with an "anniversary" session ...or maybe a 'boudoir' session...

Thai is a wonderful photographer. For someone who has not been in the wedding industry for that long, I must say he has a very keen eye for the best shot. My fiance and I went to the beach out here in Orange County for our engagement photos and had a blast working with Thai. Some people can get a little uncomfortable in front of the camera (like myself), but Thai was able to make us feel comfortable and make us laugh all while not making us look too "posed." He has great editing skills and doesn't ever do anything too cliche.
